Education for the Future

As we get older, we learn more about who we are and what we are like. For my part, I have discovered that I am extremely susceptible to advertising. Case in point? Whenever I see an ad for ITT Tech, I think to myself "Yeah! If I had a degree from ITT Tech, I could have a good job in computer technology!" Doesn't matter that I have a BA from a good University and a MA to boot. No, those sheepskins don't make a lick of difference - after all, I don't have a job! But if I went to ITT, I could help people with their passwords and wear button-down shirts and have three kids! Hooray!


I need to stop watching TV.

I am Batman

I just watched The Dark Knight on DVD, and it made me cry. Again. There's got to be something wrong with someone who doesn't cry at tear-jerkers but who bawls like a baby at that movie. Oh well, it is what it is. I'm not really up to writing a review at the moment, so suffice it to say it's ingeniously written, beautifully acted, and the whole editing and directing thing worked out pretty well, too. That's all. We still miss you, Mr. Ledger.
