Sunday Roast

I have recently revived my Brit-acquired tradition of Sunday Roast, with the immense help of my friend Meghan, who has also served as gracious hostess for these events. She claims to be, amongst other things, a 1950's housewife, and who am I to go against that? This week the dinner was roast chicken with green beans and broccoli, and a healthy side dish of wine. It was truly delicious. I would recommend all of the above as a weekly Sunday event with friends.

Flowers!

In my time in the UGC, I've found that the single most important thing is morale. Keeping the old spirits up is easy some days, but nigh on impossible on others. Today is a lovely overcast and dreary day, so I decided to swing by Trader Joe's and pick up one of their $3.99 bouquets to brighten my apartment. Not bad, if I do say so myself.
